"WHO WE ARE AND WHERE WE ARE GOING"
Mr. Paul D. Engel *
Having grown up in the general contracting business in New Jersey, and upon graduating school, Paul spent the first part of his life with a career consisting of, developing, designing, building, staffing and opening restaurants throughout the united states as National Vice President of Business Development for an international restaurant company.
Upon leaving that industry and moving to Florida, Paul Engel became involved in the paver industry, and has been for over 15 years, here in Florida as well as throughout the country, while managing offices in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Washington State.
Paul has been involved in many award winning projects, and all types of jobs ranging in size from well over one million feet, to small additions and add-ons in residential remodeling and construction.
He places an emphasis is on quality, value and professionalism throughout his entire organization, and insists on quality, customer service and organization. He likes the challenges of new products, is active in the design phase working with Architects, Engineers and General Contractors, as well as following all these projects through to completion, thus becoming a leader in the industry.
Paul has been certified and involved with "ICPI" since becoming drawn into the hardscape business. In the last three years, Paul along with Gulfstream Hardscape has been learning different techniques in the "Water Permeable" facet of hardscape, including obtaining a certification in Permeable Interlocking Concrete Pavers, and also getting his "LEED" green associate credentials, it has become evident that with water shortages and the dangers of chemical run-off into our aquifer, that the entire hardscape industry has to change nationwide, as it all over Western & Midwestern states.
Ms. Eraina T. Engel
Ms. Eraina Engel has been professionally involved in construction, real estate & banking her entire career; she became involved in the hardscape business shortly after meeting Paul in the late 90s. Eraina has been running the administration and management of Gulfstream Hardscape, since it was established. She holds a both a State of Florida real estate broker's license, and a mortgage brokers license.
Eraina insists on the simple philosophy that clients come first, and has remained close both professionally and socially with all clients for well over 35 years.
As far as our future and where "we" are going, Paul & Eraina are working diligently to open more locations throughout The State Texas before January 1012, with a primary focus on Green & Sustainable Hardscape's, with other locations throughout the West & Midwestern United States...
